EAB Meeting Review
Stephen Deems went through an overview of the Quarterly Meeting summary for the EAB to consider and the EAB-EC dialog from the EC response - session recorded
REU and STEP funding discussed
EAGER
Streamlining the allocations Process/Rapid response for mini grants
Marketplace Metrics
It was noted that the NAIRR-Pilot user interface is much cleaner than the ACCESS user interface
concerns about ACCESS' complex user interface if that would become the default for a future NAIRR
Ask the EAB: what are the best login features between the NAIRR and ACCESS, so we could see where we can update this.
Keep Dina in the loop on the process as ACCESS is continuously improving the login
Chuck Pavloski coordinated the Lessons Learned discussion - session not recorded to open discussion up
evolved into a “what’s next” for ACCESS (with a lean into associations with NAIRR) - discussion was redirected back to lessons learned
request was made for a formal “Lessons Learned” report from ACCESS PIs
discussions on contingency plans for 50% and 100% shutdown of funds
what happens to data prior and during a shutdown
(Some) Lessons Learned:
the automation the teams have added in has been a huge advantage for getting people on the system
less hands on is fantastic
focus on engagement and less on individual has increased ROI
workshops are getting more people involved
engagement with vendors is great at building a community
making things available in person and virtually is wonderful
Action Items.

Quarterly Meeting Survey
Is out there - please ask the folks from your team who attended to take a few moments to fill it out.
Will begin September meeting planning soon.
What is ACCESS? (Language)
ACCESS is an NSF-funded program that provides the U.S. research and education community with coordinated access to a nationwide ecosystem of advanced computing, data, storage, and other cyberinfrastructure resources–at no cost, and without the need for grant funding. It serves as a central hub connecting systems, expert support, and training to accelerate scientific discovery, innovation, and education across all disciplines.
Compiled from feedback at the quarterly meeting
Will distribute through email for comment/iteration
