File Transfer

Introduction

Transferring data includes moving files from local machines to ACCESS, as well as transfers between ACCESS resources. This section gives a high-level overview of the recommended ACCESS data transfer methods.

There are a variety of methods for transferring files across ACCESS. ACCESS provides a Web Browser interface (easy to use, universally available), command-line interfaces (for casual use, scripting, and automation), and application programming interfaces (for developing applications). You may choose between Globus, scp and sftp. See below for details on each method.
