Resource Providers (RPs)– who make available systems, expertise, gateways and more – are the backbone of the ACCESS program. If you’re new to ACCESS, learn more.

Persona quote
I am a resource provider
”Our newly deployed testbed, ACES, enables applications and workflows to dynamically integrate the different accelerators, memory and in-network computing protocols. Users with hybrid programming models will be able to quickly and efficiently process large amounts of data.”

– HONGGAO LIU Executive Director of High Performance Research Computing
at Texas A&M University (TAMU)

How do I integrate my resource into ACCESS?
ACCESS uses an Integration Roadmaps Framework to define how operators can integrate classes of infrastructure into the ACCESS environment.

Current integration options include:

  • High-Performance Computing
High-performance computing clusters are used by logging in to front-end nodes, installing application software, and running batch computing jobs under a scheduler. These compute resources may include GPUs, and always provide some tightly coupled local storage.

  • Storage
Storage resources are used to store and manage large amounts of data.

  • Cloud Infrastructure
Cloud infrastructure is used by launching and running virtual machines or containers.

  • Science Gateways
Websites / portals where researchers can run high-level computational science applications without having to directly interact with low level compute, storage, or cloud resources or request ACCESS allocations.

How can I get involved in the ACCESS community?
ACCESS wouldn’t exist without the Resource Providers lending their cyberinfrastructure (CI). If you have a resource you think researchers would benefit from inclusion in ACCESS join the RP Forum.
