RP page updates

What is our source of truth among the few/several places we list RPs?

https://access-ci.org/about/resource-providers/

https://allocations.access-ci.org/resources

https://access-ci.org/get-started/for-resource-providers/

https://operations.access-ci.org/resources/access-allocated

JP raised issue that sometimes RPs are added that their not in production yet

  • If we want to show what is actually in production that people can make use of, the allocations list should be our source of truth

  1. If we want to show what is actually in production that people can make use of, the allocations list should be our source of truth

Resource Software Discovery (Operations) v. Software Documentation Service (Support)

  • Do we need both?

Promote the Documentation/SDS (Support) - that is public-facing; the other is internal for resource providers

Discussed having our sitemap ONLY showing public-facing sites/pages; we can publish an internal sitemap in confluence or staff pages; Operations may publish one on their dashboard for RPs.

We can collaborate on this ^^^

Open Discussion

Q&A bot - do we want it to appear on the FAQ (Login) page(s)

What’s everyone developing?

  • Allocations

  • Support

  • Operations

  • Metrics

  • ACO

    • Working on an ACCESS Impact page

      • For Impact (see Allocations Impact dropdown)

        • Number of publications

        • Number of institutions (see map)

        • Number of projects (need to check Matt Y)

        • Metrics

        • Support?

          • How many trainings ACCESS has provided?

          • Affinity Groups established?

        • Operations?

        • News-Science Stories

          • HPCWire awarded work

    • Consolidating News page categories

    • Mock up of revised Get Involved page (Christine?)

  1. Q&A bot is really for public-facing pages; Operations doesn’t believe it needs to be on the RP-facing pages
  • Do we need to explore what the chatbot is displaying so that it’s not feeding researchers info that’s not for researchers?

  • Discussed our consolidation of our brand regarding logo lockups on each site, we might want to do user testing because the secondary navigation may make less sense (Matt and Lissie)

FAQs (one central place)
• Registration (support)
• Ticketing System
• RP (operations)

Hold until we have all the login and registry process settled so we know what questions folks might have and where we are going to direct them.

RP FAQ from Esen

Discussion:

  • Login > Questions will go to new page that clearly delineates All User FAQs (regarding Login and Reg only) and RP FAQs (which will just be a link to more FAQs for RPs)

  • We can keep the existing URL and just change content

  • Operations will host the page

    • Team doesn’t think we want to spend time in our last year updating ALL FAQs

For duplications and inconsistencies

Operations is moving onto a new platform, so that will be a better time review again
