Optimizing an Evidence-Based Team Building Intervention for Dissemination: Collaboration Planning 2.0

New publication, Optimizing an Evidence-Based Team Building Intervention for Dissemination: Collaboration Planning 2.0 in JCTS. In this paper, we describe how we revised our original intervention (previously described here) based on participant feedback and share outcomes data for Collaboration Planning sessions at UW-Madison’s CTSA.

Some highlights include:

  • In our pre-/post-session evaluation data, we saw an increase in participants’ clarity and confidence around all measured team processes… except authorship. We hypothesize that our discussions helped teams identify where they were misaligned around authorship expectations and they left with an intention to discuss these expectations further.

  • 91% of participants found the intervention both valuable and useful, as measured by their willingness to recommend the intervention to a colleague.

  • Participants indicated plans for future behavior change, including increased attention to team processes.

  • To-date, more than 400 individuals have completed the Collaboration Planning Facilitator Training, indicating a deep need in the community for tools for effective, accessible team-focused interventions.
