Elevate the About ACCESS link to top navigation vs. hiding the news within the hamburger menu.
https://access-ci.org/about/Links to the About have been included on the home page. With the new proposed home page design the about link will go away.
Resource Providers (currently in the hamburger menu) page will move to About: https://access-ci.org/resource-providers/
Info for:
This is a drop down menu that will include specific information for ACCESS’s most important audiences/users: Researchers, Educators, Graduate Students, Resource Providers, and Community (or Programs & Organizations)
Additional notes:
Metrics Metrics is no longer represented in the top navigation since users need to be up and running on ACCESS before using the Metrics tool XDMoD to measure and monitor their project. One solution is to replace TRAININGS with TOOLS in the top level nav and link here: https://support.access-ci.org/tools/overview. Linking to TOOLS allows users to find XDMoD and other tools to run and manage their projects. If TRAININGS is removed we will rely on the SUPPORT link to get users to Events & Trainings.
News The ACCESS websites contain four types of news sources in addition to social media: News published by ACO, Announcements published by Support, Integration News published by Operations, and Systems Status News published by Operations as well as Outages published by Support which is the same content as Systems Status. The tracks should review, consider new labels, confirm which track own what type of content – e.g. Integration News could be Integration Updates. This information is for RPs only.
